Apex Legends Patch Notes Update

Stuttering difficulties in Apex Legends on PC should be resolved shortly, according to a fix in the upcoming update from Respawn Entertainment.

If you've ever played Apex Legends on a high-end PC, you've probably experienced stuttering issues at some time. When playing at a high frame rate, the game might become choppy, perhaps spoiling your shot and causing you to lose time.

Since the introduction of apex legends season 10 patch notes, this has been a very prevalent problem. While there have been a number of interim fixes in the past, the problem persists to this day.

As a result, many players have resorted to just reducing their FPS in-game. Playing with a frame rate lower than 180FPS appears to work. PC gamers, on the other hand, should be relieved to learn that this game-breaking issue may soon be resolved.

Respawn's Lead Software Engineer Samy ‘ricklesauceur' Duc weighed in on recent Reddit comments regarding the "microstutter problem."

He stated that the stuttering issue that has plagued Apex Legends for a long time "should be gone with [the] next patch." This implies that after the next update is deployed, the gameplay experience on higher-end machines should be smoother than before.

The release date for the forthcoming patch is still unknown, and this repair appears to be limited to PC. It's unclear when a larger fix will be released for those suffering comparable micro-stutters on console.

While this will allow PC players to surpass the 180FPS barrier, it appears that an FPS cap will remain in place in the future. Duc remained tight-lipped on the prospect of removing Apex Legends' current 300FPS limit.

Since the debut of Season 9, developers have been hard at work on a number of projects, including this PC patch. Over the last several weeks, ranked arenas and even Evo Shield modifications have been hinted.

Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends to nearly every platform imaginable, and many fans are hoping that the devs would include cross-progression in the game. It is presently unavailable, however this will change in the near future.

Cross-progression saves are becoming more attractive for gamers who use several platforms now that the battle royale is available on everything from Steam to the Nintendo Switch. Cross-platform gaming is available on all platforms, but it's not the same.

Cross progression allows users to link their accounts across all gaming platforms. This allows users to easily access their unlocked content from one device to the next, eliminating the need to create a new account for each device.

The functionality has been partially implemented in Apex Legends, providing community members a taste of how useful it may be in practice.

Is there cross-progression in Apex Legends?

Respawn hasn't decided on how to include cross-progression in Apex Legends yet. Players on PC, on the other hand, do – kind of. If you started playing Apex on Origin, you may transfer your progress to Steam by linking your account.

The same cannot be true for the PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox 360 systems, as well as the Nintendo Switch. There is no method to move your account from one platform to the other.

According to Respawn Game Director Chad Grenier, it was "easier (to incorporate cross-progression) with Steam because it's at launch," as opposed to merging saves across Xbox and PlayStation accounts, because "customers may have numerous accounts to merge or utilize."

For one of the most popular battle royale games on the market, this is a major oversight. It's not lost on the programmers, either.
